The Walker Budget Is Already Working! Part XCIX

Scott Walker first said that he was going to create 250,000 jobs. Then he backpedaled on that and said he would make the state "business friendly." I wonder how far he will be backpedaling from that statement.

The economy is not healthy for us or for businesses, especially for those in health care:
MCS Health Management Options Inc. notified the state Department of Workforce Development that it would eliminate 45 jobs, including two of three positions in its Green Bay office.
But wait! There's more!
A health care equipment manufacturer plans to close its Stevens Point factory and lay off nearly 150 people.

Joerns Healthcare says the layoffs will begin the first week in June. The company is moving work to its other facilities as a cost-saving move.

State and local officials are miffed that Joerns is leaving Stevens Point, saying financial incentives were offered to keep the plant open in Stevens Point.

Mayor Andrew Halverson tells the Stevens Point Journal (http://spjour.nl/HBjQ7U ) that the incentives included $500,000 to $1 million in tax increment finance incentives.
When you take into account the ripple effect, that will be another 200 people out of work.

Tell me again how Walker's budget is such a success. The facts keep making me forget that story.
