Kuenzi Bound Over For Trial

Rory Kuenzi, the cold-hearted fool that, along with his brother and one of their friends, tormented, tortured and killed five deer last year, has been bound over for trial for a hit and run death:
As Kevin McCoy’s mother looked on tearfully, a witness to her son’s hit-and-run death described how he and Rory Kuenzi, the accused driver, pulled McCoy’s body into a ditch and drove away.

The testimony came from Adam Klotzbuecher, 25, of Waupaca, at the preliminary hearing Friday for Kuenzi, 25, of rural Weyauwega, who is charged with hit-and-run causing death and homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.

At the end of the hearing, Waupaca County Judge Philip Kirk bound Kuenzi over for trial on the two felonies. Kirk also bound over Kuenzi’s passenger, Walter Engel, who is accused of participating in a cover-up, on a charge of perjury.

Arraignment dates are pending for both defendants.

Kuenzi is accused of striking and killing McCoy with his pickup truck early Oct. 23, 2004, just blocks from an underage drinking party both had attended on Butts Drive in the Town of Farmington.
