Support For Obama's Health Care Plan Jumping In The Polls

This flies in the face of what the conservatives have been trying to claim all night.

  1. You are so right.

And after this speech, they are going to demand it.

    Obama was sooooooooooooooo awesome.

Free stuff for everyone if we just get rid of a bit of waste.

    He's got it covered.

$900 billion of free stuff is just around the corner.

    I am so geeked.

  2. Considering that the USA spent $2.3 trillion on health care in 2007, a full third of that just for "overhead," I'd say that Obama's plan is quite the bargain.

  3. Just a question.... Are you under the assumption that any poll done by CNN is impartial?

  4. That's the same as "weather is climate" fallacy.

Let's see what happens on the 3-day rollers by mid-next-week.

  5. CNN SPIN SPEECH 'POLL' SAMPLED DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF DEMS...

'45 percent Democratic and 18 percent Republican'...

The most trusted name in making the news they want you to have..

  6. The only one who spoke any truth last night was Joe Wilcon.

  7. You say the 'polls' are jumping. You quote the skewed CNN poll around midnight after the speech- what other polls are you referring to. The CNN poll means absolutely nothing. Almost all polls directly after any speech favor the speaker. I like how CNN says 18 % of "tonight's" respondants indicated they were Republican. Duh, they already knew that from the first poll and went on with it anyway. It means nothing.

  8. Why is flash polls favorable to Obama is unreliable to y'all, but polls even slightly unfavorable need to be echoed repeatedly?

    Who is Joe Wilcon?

  9. That's Joe Wilson, and he seems to be the only one with the cajones to stand up and call it like it is. :)

  10. No, it was only his caffeine pill addiction and the quarter million he got from health insurance companies talking.

  11. ROFLMAO Fer the love of Pete. Do you drink coffee? You have an addiction. Sodas? You have an addiction. Jeeez. What a lame "attack". In case ya didn't know, caffeine pills are not illegal. However, cocaine is.

  12. The No-Doz pills that he was chewing like candy have 200mg of caffeine. A cuppa has about 115mg. That much caffeine, while indeed legal, is also mind-altering.

And illegal use of drugs shouldn't bother you, or are you now disowning Limbaugh?

  13. Limbaugh was doing ILLEGAL drugs? Thought oxycodone was a prescription drug. Unfortunately, way too many people get hooked on LEGAL drugs. And no, I don't condone his abuse of them. Neither does he.

Back in the day, I knew a LOT of people who munched No-Doze, for a variety of reasons, mostly school or work related, instead of drinking coffee...which, in case ya didn't know, has a natural effect on the ol bod. As in spending a LOT of time in the bathroom.

As someone who works with people, I would have thought you'd know the difference.

  14. Umm, Capps. If you poll 200 democrats and 100 republicans, you don't think that skews the result in a certain direction? C'mon! I know you're smarter than that!

  15. Limbaugh was abusing prescribed medications and doctor shopping to feed his addiction, both of which are illegal.

Too much of any substance can create an altered state of mind, even water. Look up polydipsia if you don't believe me. Nice to know that you are an enabler though.

  16. Do you know the whole story about his addiction? Evidently not. But that's ok. since you've never had a problem with anything in your life, all has been peaches and cream. And I guess you've never know anyone who has gone through a really hard time, and found some sort of crutch, but was able to overcome.

I only know of one perfect Being, and ain't neither one of us Him.

  17. Again with the enabling...

You know darn well, I've had problems. And I overcame them.

But I did not go out and become a hypocrite and start up with some BS about how all druggies and other people with problems should be locked up forever like your boy did.

  18. And you shouldn't be forgiven for your past mistakes? Do you condone others who have made the same ones, do you try to understand why they got to where they were? Or do you condemn. Wilson munching No-Doze wasn't a good thing. Rush popping pills was obviously harmful. Obama smoking dope and snorting coke wasn't terribly bright either. NONE of us can say we haven't done something we regret. I could tell you some stories.

  19. We all have stories.

I have learned from mine, and have chosen to helping people with their problems.

Not condemn them unless they chose to cause more harm and not to enable them to create more harm.

Obama admitted his folly of using, and works to stop others from going down that road.

Limbaugh denies his problem and condemns others with the same problem.

Wilson also denies his, and people like you are enabling that poor choice.

  20. Don't know about Wilson, but Limbaugh did deal with it, and publicly stated so. Perhaps if you listened to him, instead of taking someone else's word for it, ya might know these things. Not to mention, ya might learn something too. :P

  21. See, that's the problem. I did listen. I listened with a professional's ear, not with an acolyte's filter. He is still in denial of it.

For all I know, he is still using.

    ReplyDelete
  22. No, not true. He admitted he had a problem, went into rehab and is still recovering, like we all are.

Oh, and fyi....I rarely listen to the radio. :) Oddly enough, I formed my own opinions a LONG time ago, before I had ever heard of Limbaugh.
