    Let's see....what's the difference between good old fashioned common sense...like not stealing money from those who work hard to support their families and spending it on crap like, oh say....a teapot museum, and teaching kids it's ok to murder them before they are even born? Hmmmm....

    Not steal? Ha! They steal alright, they just give it to the ones that already have most of it anyway.

    And yes, the right is against abortion, but once the kid is born, they would just as well feed it to the wolves before help it out.

    We are not going to go in circles on this again. But I will state the obvious....the right gives a lot more freely of their own money. The left wants to take it away and decide who gets it. Hmmmm....

    Hand up....not hand out!

    A) The right already has more money, so I wonder how that adds up in proportional donations.

    B) The left doesn't discriminate in who gets the money. They will help people even if they are not white, heterosexual, conservatives.

    Look at the common recipients of donations from each group.

    The left will give to ecological (Greenpeace, Humane Society)ans such things.

    The right will give to Red Cross (always a bastion for up and coming and/or has-been Repub pols) or Boy Scouts (anti-gay).

    That is why my wife and I donate directly to the cause and not to one of these clearing house type of places.

    The phony "I give a happy crap, so do as I say!" groups don't do much for me. We give to St. Jude's, Le Boneur, and such. Let's see....helping sick kids - no matter what their color - and folks who would have your freeze to death. Hmmm....

    We don't give to the Red Cross. Prefer organizations that actually DO something to help those in need.

    The Boy Scouts? Jiminy Crickets. You have something against boys learning moral values?

    Intolerance and fear are not moral values.

    I agree with the Red Cross. To make it worse, they'll take your donation and still charge the people they are supposedly helping.

    There are plenty of neutral agencies that I think we both could agree on. Our main two are the Humane Society and the Cancer Society.

    Heh. Well, when it comes to critters, I try to find the organizations that don't euthanize. Unless it's peacocks? :P

    American Cancer Society? Yes and no. None too fond of their political agenda, but have been known to kick in a few bucks.

    Oh, and I'm not sure where you got the idea that the right has more money, unless you mean the right actually works for said money, instead of getting it from folks like Soros? Hmmm...

    I've always felt anonymnous giving is so much more rewarding. I don't need pats on the back and "huzzahs" unlike so many on the right. I'm sure you're a very giving person Kate, but I could care less who gives more.
