Just Wonderin'

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, as we know, reads my humble blog.

So I can't help but wonder if there is some correlation to their recent series of stories about the fraud that is prevalent with day care funding and my post from four months ago, telling of Cindy Jaeger, who was the nation's best person on recouping defrauded money. This is especially true with today's article, which even has a picture and a short quote from Ms. Jaeger.

Obviously, the reporter for MJS did the yeoman's work in digging deeper than I ever did.

But I still wonder if that is what gave them the idea in the first place.

  1. If the MJS is using your blog, it explains the blatant liberalism and twisting of facts. Actually, it makes a lot more sense now that you mention it.

  2. Yeah, and we share the same affection for Walker, right?

  3. The MJS has no affection for Walker, but what you have, kind sir, is a blatant obsession that has led to nasty attacks against a good man. He may not have the same tax and spend principles you have, but using a blog as a weapon isn't exactly the right thing to do. You may think of yourself as a crusader of justice just trying to inform the public, but justice doesn't involve attacking a family man doing what's best for the taxpayer.

  4. Two things,

One, MJS has consistently endorsed him, and have failed to report the entire story if it makes Walker look bad.

I'm a family man that is out for the good of everyone, and I don't have political aspirations, so I don't have ulterior motives, like Walker does.

And a word of warning, you'll really dislike tonight's post, when I get that far.

  5. If a humble blog is a "weapon", then just what does that make the office of the County Exec? A WMD (heywefoundem!)?

Just curious about that use of logic.

  6. Nobody is more grateful that the internet has developed into an expansive alternative media that is no beginning to hold the orthodox media accountable. However, this does not entail that bloggers are justified writing hit pieces on the workings of a government they know very little about.

And bloggers are certainly not justified obsessing over a single government official who is a good person and intends to do his job the best way conceivable.

Perhaps Chris should give up the blog and try his luck in politics. He can campaign for county executive and feel what it's like to have people malign him for the simple fact that there is a "D" next his party affiliation. They can question his motives, state that Chris is trying to destroy the fabric of our county, and that Chris is not only incompetent, but a largely buffoon who should withdraw his candidacy in disgrace.

Bloggers need to be more responsible with their posts. They need to approach their articles with neutrality and expect their credibility to take a plunder if civic information is false, twisted, or misleading.

In short, Chris, try sounding more academic with an appearance of neutrality and objectivity.

  8. Dad, it's about time you realize that.

Anony, if you don't like political opining, don't come to a political blog. Capiche?

  9. Gee, Anony, thanks for pointing out that I know very little about County politics. These past fifteen years were sure wasted.

And for being maligned, been there, done that. Just ask Sykes.

  10. So, Anony, if I'm to understand your logic correctly: only Serious and Choosen people should be allowed to opine on matters politic?

Could you please bless us peons with a list of Approved Speakers so we can stop wasting any more of our time doing all of this silly "caring about matters that affect us and those around us", and so we can better spend our time clapping louder for our leaders?

    Thanks for the helpful advice!
