Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Bob Sanders has been fired by coach Mike McCarthy, according to a report at nationalfootballpost.com.Um, yeah, I'm sure none of the players own a computer, or know anyone that owns a computer, so they won't read it at either of those sites first. Nor will any of their friends.Players on the Packers' defense had not been told of the move yet.
The web site is run by Andrew Brandt, the Packers' former VP of player finance, and Jack Bechta, the agent of cornerback Al Harris. No other details were offered.
Sanders' ouster follows the retirement of special teams coordinator Mike Stock by just a few days.

Firing that guy has to be the "DOH!! Why didn't we do this LAST year" move of the century...
ReplyDeleteMcCarthy fired 6 more today. perhaps a 7th and 8th maybe appropriate soon.
ReplyDeleteI just don't think the cuts have gone deep enough yet. They still have Mike "I'm going to stick to the same game plan, even if it doesn't work" McCarthy and Ted "What's a free agent?" Thompson to go.
