John McCain: International Man Of Thuggery

My, my, how diplomatic that John McCain is.

Even as he and his moll, Sarah Palin, are trying to tie Obama to a homegrown terrorist of four decades ago, he is trying fervently to spin his way out of ties with the Keating scandal. Of course McCain is trying to distance himself from himself as quickly as possible. His role then is too similar to his role now as the economy goes down faster than his popularity ratings.

It is somewhat surprising that McCain isn't doing a better job of getting away from that line of investigation, given his long, long history of fudging facts to make himself look more respectable than he really is.

And if that wasn't enough for McCain to contend with, now it has emerged that McCain had willful association with a whole bunch of terrorists:
Republican Sen. John McCain served on the advisory board to the U.S. chapter of an international group linked to ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America in the 1980s.

The U.S. Council for World Freedom also aided rebels trying to overthrow the leftist government of Nicaragua. That landed the group in the middle of the Iran-Contra affair and in legal trouble with the Internal Revenue Service, which revoked the charitable organization's tax exemption.

The council created by retired Army Maj. Gen. John Singlaub was the U.S. chapter of the World Anti-Communist League, an international organization linked to former Nazi collaborators and ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America. After setting up the U.S. council, Singlaub served as the international league's chairman.

Here at home, McCain and his moll are overseeing a nasty turn in the election, when they oversee mob rule campaign stops in which the the work the mobs up to such a frenzy that they accuse Obama of treason and terrorism, and advocate his assassination. Yet the candidates do nothing to quell this type of terroristic behavior, but actually encourage it.

And to further his portrayal of thug and possessing not one iota of statesmanship, McCain refuses to even shake Obama's hand after last night's debate.

Fortunately, the American people realize that they will be electing the next President of the United States, and not the next Lord of the Flies.

  1. Capps, with all due respect, McCain was CLEARED by a DEMOCRAT along with John Glenn in the Keating deal. As long as you're going to trash McCain for sleazy campaigning, don't forget your guy. They are BOTH proving to be anything but change. Same steaming pant loads, Different day. Nothing 'New' or about 'Change' here. Not from either of them.

  2. Technically, Bill, he wasn't cleared. He did a plea deal where he turned witness.

I am afraid we have even gotten to the real slime yet as far as this campaign goes. I wouldn't be surprised to see a total attack on the Constitution as we get closer.

BTW, nice to see you're get fuzzy again, ya big lunker.

  3. The hard part is yet to come. I usually want to shave it all off about the time it's long enough to comb! As for the real slime, I'm with you there. Obama has many talents and DEms are better at it than Repubs. Kinda feel sorry for McCain. Not enough to vote for him, mind you, but, sorry just the same. As to the failure to shake, bad move.
